As many of my customers know, I've been collecting European military firearms for several years. I'm lucky to live in a community (especially here in California) where I can have a hard drive that's been shot several times on my counter as a pen holder without raising too many eyebrows. We gun owners aren't all a bunch of wackos who want a stash of AK-47s under our beds waiting for an excuse to shoot up the neighborhood (apologies to any Soviet-Bloc collectors, or other law-abiding people who happen to enjoy shooting "evil" semi-automatic rifles.) Some of us are the people you'd least expect to have a dozen rifles - I know I surprised a few of my friends who'd known me for years when I told them of my hobby. And lots of us are people who just want to be able to buy a historic British rifle that happened to come with a twelve-round magazine when it was built almost one-hundred years ago. That particular rifle (among countless other examples) can't be purchased in or brought into California because it holds more than ten rounds. Or perhaps we don't want someone to decide that our historic WWII Russian semi-automatic battle rifle looks too "evil" and makes us turn it in to the state. (That's the evil one on the right there.) So, I’ve decided that anyone who’s laid out their money to join the NRA, Gun Owners of America, or any other gun-rights organization to help protect our rights as Americans can have at least some of it back as a $35 discount on any new or used computer. Whether you're politics are "somewhere to the right of Atilla the Hun", you're a "radical foaming at the mouth treehugging environmentalist who owns firearms", or anywhere in between, bring in your membership card when you’re shopping to get your discount.
