Ever since we opened in 1998, one of our primary missions has been to recycle old computers and keep them out of the landfill. From using salvagable components to build used computers to taking old 8088 steel cases to the recycling center, we're doing what we can to help out the environment. If you have any old computers that have been sitting in your closet, give us a call or bring them on down.
Our Official Recycling Policy:
We accept the following items
Computers ("Computers" means self-contained tower or desktop units consisting of a motherboard and associated components.)
Computer parts such as I/O cards, chips, motherboards, drives, etc.
Laptop computers
Printers
Scanners
Keyboards
Mice
Other misc. computer equipment
Working IBM PC COMPATIBLE monitors in re-sellable condition, dated 1993 or later. (All monitors will be evaluated when brought in - which may include testing - for acceptability.)
We DO NOT accept
Computers that include a built-in monitor such as old Apple Macintoshes.
Apple (including Macintosh) monitors
Monitors made before 1993
Non-computer equipment (VCRs, fax machines, stereo or television equipment, etc.)
The vast majority of items brought in for recycling are sent to be recycled. However, everything brought in for recycling may, at our discretion, be re-sold, salvaged for parts, shot, sent off for recycling, or disposed of by any other means.
